Catherine met Sterling Noel, a novelist and editor at the New York Journal-American, at a restaurant in New York.  They married in 1947 (she and Philip had divorced in 1946) and moved to a penthouse apartment on East 57th St.  Noel’s most successful book, I Killed Stalin, was published the year that Catherine died.
